A DREAM BECOMING REALITY

From a young age I was always in love with food. From playing in my little toy kitchen to watching every episode of Rachel Ray I could find. My passion for baking was supported by my family but none more than my grandmother. Her home on Wedding Ford Road became my paradise. She gave me all the tools available to explore my dreams of being a chef.

At 17 years old I moved to Austin, Texas to pursue my dream further and attend the Culinary School of Escoffier. After graduating I worked professionally at multiple establishments including the acclaimed My Sweet Austin Bakery. I started as the baker, 2 years later I left as the Lead Decorator. Our bakery was featured in multiple magazines (The Knot, Austin Chronicle, etc.) and appeared on multiple shows ( KATV, Cake Hunters, etc.).

I later on accepted a pastry position at the James Beard awarded Launderette. I worked directly with our Executive and Sous Pastry Chefs to create menus, establish deadlines, and improve skills. Early on I was promoted to Lead Pastry Chef by displaying leadership skills and my eye for detail. I continued my career there for a year until the Covid Pandemic altered my path.

Now I have moved back to my hometown of Heber Springs, AR to bring beautiful clean flavors to the place I grew up loving them. Wedding Ford House Bakery is a tribute to my family and the place where my dream began.

I have been asked what the favorite part of my job is, and after careful consideration I now know the answer.

In my own small way, I get to be part of the happiest days of people's lives.  From weddings, to baby showers, to graduations.  I have the honor of helping create those memories.  That is why every order I take is more important than the last, because it is your memories.
